There is a story behind this painting which makes it all the more beautiful. it started on what seemed like a normal day, though it wasn’t. it was a day filled from the usual frustrations as Claire, like all of us have to deal with the problems that life throws at us. All she wanted to do was put all that down and just breathe for a moment to regain her strength to as we do, to do it all again.
The Studio being a space to escape even for a moment, she pulled the plastic off the new canvas and opened pandoras box! She yearned to use everything and anything her heart desired( originally out of frustration), knowing full well it could very much be the mess she felt inside, but it had to be done! Reaching for the biggest brush she could find, it begun. Working away, using oils, spray mediums and oil pastels and air brushing Claire just created, no rules, no restrictions, she just let it flow. Had it turned out to be a disaster it could be painted over and no one would know. A field of flowers, the scents, the feeling of the wind, pure freedom is where she went.
This is the day Blossoms of a New Chapter was born. The feeling of freedom and her energy being revived, feeling like she accomplished the very thing she had set out to do, breathe new life, pure authenticity and joy. No idea where it really came from it poured out. This is where art comes from.
