‘ My first love is graphite, I love the way this simple humble medium can be put own and taken off, pushed and pulled, create textures and flowing softness, the possibilities are endless. Colour in the kingfisher always astounds me, this small colourful bird has the longest beak and the most beautiful call. I love breaking the rules, the ones that tell us it can’t be done or it just isn’t done (traditionally). In this day and age we dont need to be traditional all the time, we need new and exciting. I love to find ways of mixing things up and look good together. ‘ Lookout ‘ was the start of something, I just couldn’t have said what or where it may lead ‘
