Kingfishers hold a profound significance for me, as they evoke cherished memories of my father, who passed away when I was eight. My mother and I would often sit in the garden, and our resident kingfisher would visit, bringing us a sense of connection with my dad. Each appearance felt like a blessing.

In moments of doubt, when I question my path as we all do, the presence of a kingfisher near my studio reminds me of my father’s reassuring presence. It feels as though he is encouraging me to trust my instincts and pursue my dreams. His gentle reminder that I am resilient—“I am still standing”—resonates deeply with me. Despite the challenges I have faced in recent years, I have risen stronger, and I continue to stand firm, empowered by his enduring spirit.
